Smashed Mouth Reds

Red Smashed Mouth Potatoes

A super duper easy side dish that tastes like your on vacation!  No kidding… try them on summer day while sitting on the patio with your love!


1 lb. baby red potatoes, unpeeled (1- 1- 1/2 inch in diameter)

3/4 creme fraiche (I used regular ole sour cream…) nothing fancy here!

1 lime

Sea Salt

Fresh Ground Pepper


Boil your washed potatoes until tender. About 15 mins.

Drain and dry potatoes completely

Flatten each potato using the back of a spoon

Put the potatoes on a platter

Spoon a dollop of sour cream on top of each potato

Zest one lime over the top of the potatoes and then cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice over the potatoes! Add salt and pepper to taste. YUMMY!

Good served with any kind of meat, from steaks to chicken! Enjoy!
